SLEEP COUNSELLING IN TALLINN & ONLINE

Support for sleep problems and insomnia

Sleep often becomes difficult when work, relationships, or responsibility demand a great deal. Your body may be tired while your mind stays active; sleep may break during the night, or enough time in bed may still leave you unrefreshed.

Sleep counselling is for adults who want to understand their sleep calmly and systematically. Together we look at daily rhythms, habits, stress, and thoughts about sleep, then choose practical steps that fit real life.

Sleep counselling may help when

  • falling asleep regularly takes a long time or it is difficult to switch off
  • you wake repeatedly or too early and cannot return to sleep
  • you appear to sleep enough but still wake feeling tired
  • workload, life changes, or persistent thoughts have disrupted your rhythm
  • general sleep tips have not been enough and you want a personal, consistent plan

You do not have to wait for exhaustion

Sleep counselling is not only for a crisis. Recurring trouble falling asleep, waking at night, or persistent tiredness are enough reason to give your sleep thoughtful attention.

A CALM, CLEAR PROCESS

How we work with your sleep

01

Understand the situation

We discuss your sleep rhythm, days, responsibilities, and the change you would most value.

02

Notice the patterns

When useful, a sleep diary helps distinguish assumptions from what is actually supporting or disrupting sleep.

03

Build a practical plan

We select evidence-informed tools based on CBT-I principles, sleep habits, and calming skills that fit your routine.

04

Review and adjust

We look at what is working and refine the steps so the change can last.

When should you see a doctor first?

Seek medical advice first if you have loud snoring or suspected pauses in breathing, uncontrollable daytime sleepiness, restless-leg symptoms, a sudden major change in sleep need, or another health concern. Sleep counselling does not replace medical diagnosis.

FAQ

Sleep counselling questions

01Is sleep counselling appropriate if the problem is not severe?

Yes. Recurring difficulty falling asleep, broken sleep, or waking unrefreshed are valid reasons to explore the pattern preventively.

02Do you prescribe sleeping medication?

No. Counselling works with habits, thoughts, stress, and daily rhythms that influence sleep. Medication and medical testing should be discussed with a doctor.

03Can we meet by video call?

Yes. Sleep counselling is available at Ülemiste Health Centre, at Ravi 17 in Tallinn, or through a secure video call.

04How many sessions will I need?

That depends on how long the problem has lasted and what you want to change. The first 90-minute session maps the situation and establishes a suitable plan.
